{"id":38,"date":"2011-11-24T01:44:00","date_gmt":"2011-11-24T01:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/adventuresfantastic.com\/futurespastandpresent\/things-im-thankful-for\/"},"modified":"2011-11-24T01:44:00","modified_gmt":"2011-11-24T01:44:00","slug":"things-im-thankful-for","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/adventuresfantastic.com\/futurespastandpresent\/things-im-thankful-for\/","title":{"rendered":"Things I&#8217;m Thankful for"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\" trbidi=\"on\">There are a number of things I&#8217;m thankful for.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a partial list.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, my family, both immediate and extended.\u00a0 (This includes the dogs.)\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Our health.<\/p>\n<p>Employment, both for me and my wife.\u00a0\u00a0 And not just a job in my case, but something I find fulfilling.\u00a0 While I&#8217;m not sure it&#8217;s something I want to do for the rest of my life, I don&#8217;t dread going to work every day.<\/p>\n<p>A place to live, food to eat, cars to drive.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>Books to read.\u00a0 Lots and lots and lots of books to read.\u00a0 And vintage pulps.\u00a0 And comics and graphic novels.\u00a0 And opportunities to write.<\/p>\n<p>The good things blogging has brought into my life:\u00a0 new friends, review copies of books from both authors and publishers, and outlet for my writing.<\/p>\n<p>That I live in the greatest country in the world, where I am free to say what I like, read what I like, and worship God in the manner I see fit.<\/p>\n<p>May God bless each and every one of you as much as He&#8217;s blessed me.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are a number of things I&#8217;m thankful for.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a partial list.
