End of Summer Update

Based on the temperature (100+ every day) and the calendar, summer is far from over. However, tomorrow is the first day of class at the university.

So, summer’s over.

I”ve maintained my writiing streak so far this year, not having missed a day of writing. I averaged just over a thousand and one words a day for the first six months. I’ve cut back because summer classes were time consuming. I’m still trying to write a miniimum of one hundred words a day. That includes blog posts.

I would have thought I would have gotten more done in the short break between summer classes and the start of fall. That includes writing, publishing, reading, and general organization.

I need to focus on publishing. That means relearning some things, learning some new things, and hopefully publishing something on a regular basis.

I fiinished a novel last week. I’m going to give it the once-over to catch typos and check for internal consistency (does that character’s hair color change, etc.), then try to send it out into the wild. I should have the story I’m currently working on about a cage match between Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman done by the end of the week.

I’ve tried to carve out time every day to read some fiction, although it might only be a few minutes. I’ve got several anthologies in progress. I plan on reviewing them piece-meal. Divide the number of stories in a volume by three or four and review that many in a blog post.

What’s up with yuou folks?
